McKinley Kyle Paz Celebrates 20th Birthday with Top 10 Finish

“The Wonder Boy” is growing up before our eyes and just turned 20. The young Filipino racer has become an icon at such a young age and carries the flag of the Philippines at the 2021 FIM CEV MOTO2 European Championship.

But before he could enjoy himself, he had to handle business first in Round 5 of the competition at MotorLand Aragon. If competing against the best racers in the world wasn’t enough of a challenge, Kyle had to overcome an injury he sustained to his pinky which proved troublesome in maintaining a grip with his left hand. He was even questionable to compete during race week, but he persevered and qualified for 14th position. He was also eager to display his development in braking and other facets of his skills. Even with the injury, he battled his way to tenth place to end race 1. An accomplishment that was earned through grit and perseverance.

Unfortunately, due to an accident that occurred in a different category, race 2 had to be cancelled.

But Kyle’s day wasn’t done just yet. During an exclusive press conference via zoom he was surprised by his family who lauded his performance and sent their love for his birthday. And that wasn’t all, Yamaha Motor Philippines gifted Kyle a brand-new Sniper 155.

Paz will get himself a much needed break as his next race will be in round 7 at Cadiz, Spain on August 22.
