Final segment of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) was opened on July 15.

The completion of the 11-kilometer Pozorrubio, Pangasinan to Rosario, La Union section of TPLEX is expected to reduce travel time from Tarlac to Rosario from 3.5 hours to just an hour according to Public Works and Highways Sec. Mark Villar. He also said that traveling to the Ilocos Region and Baguio City in the Cordilleras will now be easy.

Travel time from Manila to Baguio is now reduced from 6 hours to only 3 hours.

Motorists going to Baguio have three route options from the Rotunda. These are Marcos Highway (go further to Pugo), Kennon Road and the Asin Nangalisan Road.

The Private Infra Dev Corporation of SanMiguel Corporation holds the concession for TPLEX.
