For those who have been planning to upgrade from a 300cc or a 400cc maxiscooter to Kymco’s popular flagship AK 550, you are in luck!
Until end of March this year, Kymco Philippines is offering a P50,000 discount on the AK550 which lowers its SRP from P599,000 to just P549,000 only! Plus they will include must have accessories like the Rear Carrier & Front/Middle Pedal for free.
Dubbed the “Super Tourer“, the AK 550 is one of the best seller for Kymco particularly in Europe. It is able to hold its own an against very popular Japanese and European competitors while offering the same if not more pwrformance, style and utility at a much lower price.
The bike it was intended to be KYMCO’s Anniversary bike, hence the term “AK” or Anniversario KYMCO way back in 2015. The K50 concept design was previewed by KYMCO at its 50th year anniversary in Milan, and the final version unveiled at the following Tokyo Motor Show. It was then finally launched here in the Philippines in 2018.
It is powered by a 2-cylinder, 550cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, the KYMCO AK 550 delivers 53 horses and a maximum torque of 55.64 Nm @ 5500 rpm.
There are two power modes for rain and performance riding. It weighs 226 kilograms, has 120/70 x 15 and 160/60 x 15 tires and Brembo brakes, a low seat height of only 785 mm , perfectly balanced 50-50 front and back weight distribution and comes with Kymco’s own Noodoe Navigation.

Aside from the AK 550, the classicaly styled Like 150i is also on a promo with the 150i Noodoe – now only at P139,000 and thw Like 150i ABS – now only at P119,000 .
