TJ Alberto makes his WorldSSP debut with MTM Kawasaki

Filipino TJ Alberto is set to make history
again as he starts his first FIM World Supersport (WorldSSP) race in Mandalika Street Circuit in Indonesia for MTM Kawasaki.
He will be replacing MTM Kawasaki’s regular rider Adrain Huertas suffered a big crash in Australia last weekend.

“We are delighted to welcome TJ Alberto, Philippine rider who will make his debut in World Supersport and will replace injured Adrián Huertas for this weekend at Mandalika,” said MTM Kawasaki.

This marks Alberto’s return to the WSBK paddock since his 2018 STK1000 campaign.
” I’ll be racing this weekend in the WorldSBK Supersport here in the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit as a replacement rider for Adrian Huertas. Wishing Adrian a speedy recovery! Thanks to Rob Vennegoor.

He will be the 2nd Alberto that will compete at the World Championship level on green Kawasaki machines. His younger brother Troy Alberto will.also comoete in the World 300 SuperSport starting next month in Europe.
Mandalika International Circuit is a racing circuit located in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone in Kuta Village, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). It has a length of 4.31 km with 17 turns. This year, 2023 World Superbike has set a target of around 70,000 spectators for the weekend.
The 2023 Supersport World Championship is the twenty-seventh season of the Supersport World Championship, and the Motul Indonesian round is the second race of the season.
