The Philippine’s Troy Alberto of Team Access Plus-Honda Philippines today finished in 2nd place at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand during Race 1 of the PTT Thai Talent Cup. It was his second runner-up podium at the circuit where he nearly won last July.

After qualifying in 7th position on his Honda NSF250 Moto3 bike, Alberto finished behind Indonesian Azryan Dheyo Wahyumaniadi and ahead Malaysian Muhammad Idlan Haqimi Bin Raduan. There were a total of 19 competitors for this penultimate round.

The Chang International Circuit in Thailand is a fast 4.54-kilometer MotoGP and World Superbike circuit. Alberto was able to make his riding skills overcome his obvious height and weight disadvantage compared to his smaller competitors.

“Great race today, finishing second! I’d like to dedicate this podium to my friend and fellow racer Afridza Munandar who passed away earlier this month in an Asia Talent Cup race. I’ll be pushing again for the win in Race 2 tomorrow,” said Troy.

Congratulations Troy!

Race 2 will be tomorrow. Alberto is supported by Honda Philippines, Italtrans, Motoworld, Dickies, Century Hotel, AiM Datalogger and Access Plus.
