Bicycle Lanes along EDSA

From the Department of Transportation:

In line with the firm instruction of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade to promote Active Transportation and to fast track the construction of Bike Lane Networks in Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao, Transportation Assistant Secretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Mark Steven Pastor, along with officials from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) inspected the ongoing construction of Bike Lanes along EDSA.

The construction of bike lanes aim to help cyclists to have an access to safe and secure transport lane that will help them get to their work and other destinations.

Biking and other modes of active transport are encouraged by the the health sector as it promotes physical fitness and reduces air pollution.
