Dingdong Dantes to Launch Delivery App to Help Jobless Colleagues

On June 11, during a Fireside live chat, Kapuso actor Dingdong revealed he has a new business venture, a delivery app called DingDong PH which will employ his workmates in showbiz who because of COVID-19, have lost their jobs.

“Kung gagawa ako ng isang bagay, gusto ko klaro yung kaniyang social impact. Yung inspiration also behind this is the fact that I have several workmates who lost their jobs in the entertainment industry,” said Dantes.

The idea of his soon to be launched courier and delivery app began when Marian Rivera, his wife, had problems with her home-based flower business. Dantes then had to do the delivery of the client’s order using his scooter. “Doon nag-umpisa yung idea, at lumawak na lang siya in the past weeks. After talking to like-minded friends who share the same vision and passion, an idea was developed – hence, the birth of Doorbell Technologies,” shared the actor who is also an avid motorcycle rider.

Dantes has also ventured into motorcycle racing a few years ago when he participated in the Philippine Ducati Cup.
